HL Deb 02 April 1841 vol 57 c806

The Marquess of Normanby moved, that the House go into Committee on the Buildings Regulation Bill. The noble Marquess observed, that, in the original bill, from which this bill was separated, there were certain clauses relative to fires. The operation of these clauses was, however, confined to the city of London; and it had been deemed advisable in the present measure to make them general.

Bill then went through Committee.—To be reported on April 23d.
