said, he had been commanded by his Majesty to return the following Answer to their Lordships:— I receive with satisfaction the assurances contained in your loyal and dutiful Address. It will ever be my study, under the Will of Divine Providence, to maintain the high character of this country among the nations of the world, and to promote the peace and welfare of all classes of my subjects.
