HC Deb 29 June 1931 vol 254 cc892-4
Mr. S. BALDWIN

May I ask the Prime Minister what business he proposes to take, either before Eleven o'Clock or after, in the event of the Motion in his name being carried?

The PRIME MINISTER

We should like to get the Committee stage of the Unemployment Insurance (No. 4) Bill in order to extend the borrowing powers of the Unemployment Insurance Fund at the requisite date. The other piece of business is the Motion for the allocation of time for the Report stage of the Finance Bill.

Motion made, and Question put, That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Order No. 15, Business other than the Business of Supply may be taken this day before Eleven of the clock, and that the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
